Finger millet is one of the most nutritious of all the world’s cereal crops being rich in essential amino acids, iron and calcium. Finger millet also has many medicinal uses.& is a variety of millet grown in the arid parts of Africa and Asia

Ingredients

  • 2 cups finger millet flour
  • 90g Red rice flour
  • 75g Semolina
  • 110g All purpose flour
  • 250ml Milk
  • 1 tblsp Vinegar
  • 11/2 tsp Baking powder
  • Olive oil for stir  frying
  • 1Tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1 Tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 bunch  coriander or any herb finely sliced
  • green chillies (optional)
  • Salt for the taste

Method

  • Stir fry last 7 ingredients in oil or butter.
  • Add all flours in to a mixing bowl and then add baking powder milk (Add vinegar to milk before 10min)
  • Mix the fried spices and make a smooth batter.
  • make pancakes. 
  • While Making make sure to cover them.
  • Enjoy with a filling or with a curry.
