Falooda is one of the most beautiful drink that you can find almost every restaurant in Sri Lanka. Almost every day is a warm day there and falooda has a good market every day. Not only that its very popular in India and some several other countries.The unique taste to its own, make this drink a real time favourite to any one. The colour of the drink is very attractive too. Not only it helps stop the thirst it can stop your hunger too.

I have uploaded a recipe about royal falooda too. Its not only a drink its a dessert  too..There is a little bit of difference in these too drinks. if you cant find the Basil seeds or the casa casa seeds try to find chia. Chia is very popular these days and easy to find all around the world.

Instead of milk you can always use the condensed milk. The only thing is will be a bit more sweeter then. If you like more colour you can colour the vermicelli too.

When making the rose syrup or the sherbet syrup make sure to taste it as the rose essence is very strong than the rose water.

Try making your own falooda at home. I am sure that you will be thinking of  making it again and again after.

Ingredients

  • Milk
  • Soaked Basil seeds/ chia seeds
  • Sherbet syrup
  • 2 Different flavours of Jelly
  • Ice cream
  • Cooked & chilled vermicelli

How to Make the rose syrup/Sherbet Syrup

  • 100g sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1tsp rose essence
  • 2 Tblsp rose water
  • Pink Food colouring

Method

  • Boil water with sugar and rose essence and then add colouring. Simmer for 5 minutes and store in fridge.
  • Prepare everything and leave in fridge to chill.
  • Take a tall glass and add Milk.
  • Add sherbet syrup, vermicelli and jelly.
  • After add basil or chia seeds, & Finish with a scoop of ice cream.

  • දෙවර්ගයකින් ජෙලි
  • පොගවාගත් කසකසා ඇට
  • අයිස් ක්‍රීම්
  • උයා ශීත කර ගත් වර්මසිලි

සිරප් සදහා

  • සීනි ග්‍රෑම් 100
  • වතුර කෝප්ප 1
  • රෝස එසෙන්ස් තේ හැදි 1
  • රෝස වතුර මේස හැදි 1
  • රෝස පාට වර්ණය තේ හැදි 1

සාදන ක්‍රමය

  • පළමුව සිරප් සදහා අවශ්‍ය සියලුම දේ විනාඩි 5ක් පමණ උනු කරගන්න. නිවුනාට පසු ශීතකරණයේ තබන්න.

    සියලුම ද්‍රව්‍ය කලින් සකසා ශීතකරනයේ තබන්න.

  • උස වීදුරුවක් ගෙන එයට පළමුව කිරි දමන්න.
  • දෙවනුව  ෂර්බට් සිරප්, වර්මසිලි සහ ජෙලි දමන්න.
  • පසුව කසකසා ඇට, අවසානයේ අයිස් ක්‍රීම් දමා පිලිගන්වන්න.
