This is my grandmothers recipe.She used to do this all the time for Alms givings. As kids We had  to clean the garlic all the time. They were so tiny and very hard to clean.  I helped her to cook the garlic too. I can cook to  the same taste that I got when I was a kid. If you can use the organic or home grown garlic thats the best.

This recipe will serve 4 people.

I am using 350g organic garlic. When you buy garlic make sure to buy plump and compact  garlics. Do not buy the garlic  with damp or soft spots. Heavy garlic bulbs says they are healthy. Always use the fresh healthy looking fresh garlics

Seperate the garlic and clean the skins.

I cut them in to two to cook quickly and also the flavours goes through the garlic too.

Slice several onions or one salad onion, split several green chillies. one tablespoon full Maldive fish flakes, 1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds, 2 pieces goraka , several sprigs of curry leaves and few inches cinnamon.

I used a teaspoon full  roasted curry powder, pinch turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp curry powder, and salt to the taste.

Add all the spices and herbs in to the pot with a cup of water. Put on the stove and cook on low heat about 15-20 minutes or until the no liquids.

After add 1/2 cup of coconut milk  and cook several minutes.

Take off when it starts thickening. Serve  with plain rice.
