Green beans are really easy to find any where in the world. Eating the same way makes it hard to to eat . It makes monotonous and boring. Try cooking the same vegetable in different ways. This is one of the simplest way of cooking green beans. It gives a nice and a creamier taste when you add fresh coconut in it. And also when you have leftover beans I mean several beans only try this. It makes more the quantity wise.
This recipe will serve 4 people. I used about 150 g diced beans Wash and cut the beans in to tiny pieces. Prepare one onion finely sliced,several cloves finely sliced or chopped garlic, several green chillies and some curry leaves too. If you are not a vegetarian try adding some Maldive fish flakes to make it more tasty.
I used 1/2 tsp curry powder and a pinch turmeric powder as spice powders. Get enough salt to your taste.I always like to use coconut oil in my cooking. it gives the true and authentic Sri Lankan taste too. Put the pan on the stove and add some coconut oil. When the oil is hot add onion, curry leaves and garlic with Maldive fish flakes.
Stir fry well until they release the aroma and after add the spice powders. Mix well again cooking several minutes. Add the finely cut beans.
Stir fry well. When the beans are well cooked add the coconut and mix well. Cook another minute. If you like a bit of sourness add some lime juice. Serve hot with plain rice.
