Lunu Kanda is the only meal we got when we got sick. Sri Lankan believe in it a lot.  As we didn’t like it at all. After I understood not only in Sri Lanka , But even here when some one is sick they serve plain rice.  If you are a novice cook this how to do rice porridge.

This recipe will serve 1 person.

Take 1/2 cup (Rice cooker cup) of rice. and add water and wash several times.

Put the washed  rice in to a pot.

Add 2-3 cups of water .Add salt to your taste.

Cook until the rice is plumy and sticky. (Need to over cook the rice. That way a sick person can digest easily)

Check the salt and add  more needed and serve hot.
