Snake beans are very common in Sri Lanka and almost all the Asian countries. It has a unique flavour to its own and packed with loads of vitamins and minerals as well as fibre,
Cooking snake beans is really simple and easy. And also it can be cooked in many ways. This is only one way of doing a simple and snake beans curry.
This recipe will serve 4 people.
This a bunch of snake beans weighs about 250 g. Wash the snake beans well and cut the ends. Then simple break as you wish or cut them to the size that wish to have.
After cutting it will looks like in the first picture. Prepare one small onion finely sliced, some raw chillies to your taste (I add a bit extra as I add less chilli powder) , about 2 tsp Maldive fish flakes, 1/4 Tsp fenugreek seeds , Rampe and curry leaves.
I am using a 1/4 tsp chilli powder, pinch of turmeric powder, and a 1/2 tsp curry powder as spices. Add all the ingredients to a pot.
Add enough water or the second coconut milk and cook few minutes and add
the coconut milk and salt.
Serve with plain rice.
