Chick peas are always nice as a curry. When you are bored with the same kind of dhal curry try this chick pea curry with a different taste. Not like the same red lentil curry the chick pea curry is totally a  different taste.  Chick pea curry can be done in different ways. This is with out any coconut milk. I prefer this way  all the time. But I will upload other ways too.

This recipe will serve 4-6 people. Use about 150 g split chick peas and soak it several hours for easy cooking. After wash it thoroughly several times until the water runs clear.

I used 3/4 tsp curry powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp chilli powder. ( You can always adjust these spices according to your taste. Other than the spice powders, cut one onion, and several green chillies and some cloves of garlic.  Add some cinnamon and some curry leaves too.

Add all the ingredients on to the split chick peas and add enough water to cover  and cook until soft.  When you press from your finger tips it should crush with out any pressure.  Add enough salt to your taste.

After take a spoon full of the coked split chick peas and crush it using the back of the spoon and mix to the curry. If you like to temper with a bit of oil feel free to do it. Serve with rice or  breads.
