Paw paw or papaya is nice when cooked raw or slightly ripen. My mum do this most of the time to go with a fish curry. I still like the flavours of it. When you see a raw pawpaw try this recipe and I am sure that you are going to love this.
Raw pawpaw good for constipation. You can use a grater to grate than cutting it to thin slices. I bought one raw pawpaw and did two different recipes out from them.
Cut the paw paw to two.
Scoop out the seeds.
Put the flat side down and cut in to two.
Peel the paw paw.
Grate well and wash well.
Prepare one onion finely sliced, sliced chillies,several cloves of garlic, 1-2 cm ginger, cinnamon, curry leaves and pandan leaves.
I used 1/2 tsp curry powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, and a 1/4 tsp pepper.
Get a 1/2 cup of freshly grated coconut too.
Add some oil in to a pan and add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds in to it.
Let it splutter and add onion ,garlic, chillies, and cook until translucent.
Add the paw paw on to the fried spices.
Stir fry well.
Mix coconut with all the spice powders and mix well. Add on to the pawpaw. and stir fry well.
Serve with plain rice.
